How it works

The laser light penetrates the outer skin and coagulates the blood in the targeted blood vessel. This causes the vein to blanche and then disappear through re-absorption into surrounding cells. The light impacts the vein without damaging the surrounding skin tissue and is therefore an extremely simple and safe procedure. Results are generally immediate although it may take a few days for re-absorption to occur.


How many treatments are required?

2 or 3 treatments are usually sufficient to achieve a good result. After effects, if any, are short-term and may include a light crusting or 'cat scratch' on the skin and the area will appear temporarily darker.
